Collaborations:Poultry Online

From Poultry Hub

Jump to: navigation, search

There is a vast amount of information about poultry and poultry production on the Web. Some of it good, some of it not so good. Wikis such as Wikipedia and Citizendium offer plenty of painstakingly resourced information on a wide variety of poultry-related topics. Some of this information needs clarification or further editing and you may be the ideal candidate for the job.

What you can do

If you're interested in joining this workgroup, the first step would be to add your name to the list of collaborators at the bottom of the page, linking it to your user page. Some wikis, such as Citizendium and Poultry Hub, require registration before you can edit a page.

Browse the following lists of URLs flagged by the workgroup. If you see room for improvement in the resulting article or directory, edit the content in the same way as you would in Poultry Hub. If you could use some help, try MediaWiki Help:Editing_pages. Before you decide to edit a wiki, check the discussion pages for each article to see what other contributors are saying. You can also use this workgroup's discussion page to ask questions or make recommendations so others can do the editing on your behalf.

If you find an unlisted page that needs a clean-up or more information, add the URL to the appropriate list. Whenever possible, advise the workgroup of your actions, including your progress with listed pages.

Wikipedia

Like it or not, an increasingly large number of people use Wikipedia every day as a source of information. Unfortunately, the information is not always of the highest quality and may need more work to be considered truly encyclopedic. This is where the Poultry Online Workgroup comes in. The following list of articles and other pages have been flagged for attention by the workgroup.

Citizendium

Open Directory Project (ODP or DMOZ)

The Open Directory Project (ODP), also known as DMOZ, is the largest, most comprehensive human-edited directory of the Web. It is constructed and maintained by a vast, global community of volunteer editors.
