Overview
The sebright is a true bantam and for this reason is suited best for ornamental purposes only. Having originated from England the Sebright as similar to other smaller bantams is a poor egg producer, only averaging 140-160 Eggs a year. Following generations of inbreeding the Sebright's egg fertility success rate is also considered to be quite poor, despite this they do make good mothers of young chicks. The sebright is an active spirited bird putting it at great flight risk, the Sebright is thus not recommended for beginner poultry keepers.
