Meat Industry Specialist Systems (MISS) deliver on the job training in Certificate II and III in Meat Processing, utilising the Govt funded program so it doesn't cost employers or trainees to participate.On-site Meat-Processing Induction / Training Program
MISS is offering 4 day Induction/ Training program on site for all Meat Processing plants across Australia at no cost. We've found this is a great way for employers to assess applicants aptitude, ability and attitude before they're offered a job.
The 4 days consists of:
- MTMMP1C – Maintain personal equipment
- MTMMP2C – Apply hygiene and sanitation practices
- MTMMP3C – Apply quality assurance practices
- MTMMP4C – Follow safe work policies and procedures
- MTMMP5C – Communicate in the workplace
- MTMMP6C – Overview the meat industry
- MTMMP11C – Sharpen knives
- Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment
- Work experience
The 4th day of this program is on the job with the trainees working with an experienced staff member and our trainer, whom is conducting assessments at that time. This gives Supervisors the opportunity to make their own suitability assessments.
Once the Supervisors have selected the candidates they'd like to employ from the course we then sign them up into a Certificate II in Meat Processing Traineeship under the Australian Apprenticeships Program and new Trainees commence employment.
With our Traineeships all of the training and assessments are conducted on the job, on a one on one basis with our trainers to ensure productivity is not interrupted. Classroom style learning is required only twice per annum to complete workbooks, which occurs when Trainees are rostered off.
As an Industry Specialist, MISS tailors the training to suit organisational requirements and growth plans.
