Areas of expertise

  • Research expertise in the areas of sheep, deer, poultry and ratite nutrition, welfare and production systems of poultry.
  • Over 15 years of research experience in livestock nutrition particularly in ruminant nutrition and experience in village poultry production and free-range poultry production systems. Also several years experience in statistical analysis.
  • Animal Nutrition, animal production systems, animal feeding systems and animal welfare.

Research interests

  • Feeding village poultry in the Solomon Islands
  • Using local feeds to reduce the cost of Pig and Poultry production in Tonga
  • High value products from hatchery waste
  • Improving the profitability of village broiler production in PNG.
