The Egg Producers Federation of New Zealand represents the interests of the commercial egg producers in this country. The definition of a commercial egg producer is all persons who purchase more than one hundred chicks per year. Membership is mandatory under the Commodity Levies (Eggs) Order 2005.
A major role for the EPF is the maintenance of current quarantine standards to ensure the protection of New Zealand’s unique avian disease free status.
