The Poultry Industry Association of New Zealand represents the interests of the poultry processing and breeding companies in this country. Membership is voluntary but over 99% of the country's production is represented by PIANZ. Tegel Foods Ltd, Inghams Enterprises (NZ) Pty Ltd, and PH van den Brink Ltd dominate the industry with over 90% of production. The remainder is split between approximately 9 smaller producers. PIANZ promotes and protects the interests of the members of the poultry industry in New Zealand. PIANZ represents the poultry meat processors and poultry breeding companies in New Zealand.
