The Poultry Research and Teaching Unit (PRATU) is a cross-departmental group of UNE staff with a common interest in avian biology, poultry production, disease, behaviour and product marketing. Its mission is to provide a centre of excellence in research and teaching that will enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the poultry industry in Australia. We have excellent research and analytical facilities for work in disease, egg quality, nutrition and production aspects of broiler and laying poultry.
