Poultry washing

- When you wash your chook you need a tub of warm soapy water, a tub of warm plain water, a tub of warm water with blu-o to make the feathers whiter and three people to hold them if you have a white chicken as well as a scrubbing brush or tooth brush.
1. Tub of warm water with Lux flakes dissolved
How
- Put the chook in the water restraining its legs and holding its head above water. Make sure you scrub its feet and wash under its wings, and the rest of its body.
2. Tub of warm water
How
- Again put the chook in the water restraining its legs and keeping head above water ensuring you get rid of all the soap suds under its as well.
3. Tub of warm water with blu-o (only a few drops)
How
- Place the chook in the tub of blu-o and rinse it with The water again rinse under its wings.
- Once washed chooks can be dried using natural sunlight or with a hairdryer. If using a hairdryer gently hold wings out to dry and pull carefully the wet feathers off of the skin to help dry the feather quicker.
