The University of New South Wales is a Participant in the Poultry CRC.

Bachelor of Environmental Science contains a core sequence of compulsory courses and a choice of disciplinary specialisations. The specialisations include: Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Earth Science, Marine Biology, Microbiology, and Oceanography. Students will need to select a specialisation early in their programs.
Bachelor of Science is a three-year program at pass level and a four-year program at honours level. Science is the understanding of the physical universe (from sub-atomic particles and microbes through to the planet's environment and the origin of the universe itself), and human interactions with it.

Graduate Diploma in Biological Science provides specialised research training in particular disciplinary fields. It consists primarily of a research project, with literature review and report, carried out under the supervision of a member of academic staff. There is frequently a component of coursework, tailored to provide background information relevant to the research project. Students receive advanced formal training to provide them with research and presentation skills relevant to their research project.

Chemical and microbial analysis of odorants from poultry facilities (2005-2009) the project aims to relate the generation of odours and odorants from tunnel ventilated chicken sheds to change in the microbial ecology of the shed litter; and develop a detailed odorant characterisation of gaseous emissions from tunnel ventilated chicken sheds.
