The WPSA (World's Poultry Science Association) is a non-profit organisation that strives to advance knowledge and understanding of all aspects of poultry science and the poultry industry.

WPSA Membership gives you access to our quarterly journals, as well as discounts on all congress fees for international congresses and conferences given by the WPSA. Student members are also eligible to apply for WPSA International travel grants to attend WPSA sponsored events anywhere in the world.

Australian Poultry Award

The Australian Branch of the World’s Poultry Science Association wishes to recognise outstanding work of benefit to the Australian poultry industry. The Australian Poultry Award is given to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the development and/or success of the Australian poultry industry. It will be presented on suitable occasions, such as the Australian Poultry Science Symposium and the Poultry and Stock Feed Convention, or as approved by the Australian Branch Management Committee.

If you know of someone whom you believe is deserving of this award, please send nominations to Kapil Chousalkar by 30 November 2009 using the form provided. If your nominee from a previous year was unsuccessful and they are still eligible, please resubmit the nomination.

WPSA Australia (ABN: 542 314 512 17) offers three forms of membership:

Individual - Any person who is, or has been, engaged in any activity connected with the poultry industry and is interested in its objectives, may become a member of the Association.

Affiliate - Associations, societies, institutions, clubs and commercial organisations connected with poultry industry activities are entitled to become Affiliated Members.

Student - Student membership may be held by bona fide poultry students while they are studying at universities, colleges and agricultural institutes.
