===Project overview===
The isolation of a new variant strain of [[infectious bronchitis]] virus (IBV) from an outbreak in 2002 in NSW prompted an investigation into the effectiveness of current vaccination strategies.

====Project objectives====
Improve current vaccination strategies against IBV by:
*Assessing which vaccine or combination of vaccines provides the broadest level of cross protection; and
*Developing technologies to rapidly assess whether existing vaccines will provide protection against emerging variant strains of the virus.

===Project progress===
