Re-bid process concludes in Canberra

Welcome to another edition of eChook.

Thank you for your messages enquiring about our re-bid interview, which took place in Canberra on 1 July.

We faced a panel of six experts who were joined by the chairman of the CRC Committee and the Manager of the CRC Program during the last 30 minutes of the 2-hour interview. The interview process was highly professional.

Our interview team put in an enormous effort to prepare for the interview so that the important story of “achieving sustainable, ethical poultry production in the face of population growth and climate change” was properly told during the interview.

Our team worked well together and was very pleased about the way the interview went. Regardless of the outcome of our re-bid, it has been a wonderful collaborative effort by our researchers and industry personnel and we have done our best. I would like to thank you all, particularly my wonderful staff in the office, Mr Lloyd Thomson, Mr Geoff Fairy, Mr Chris Day, Ms Helene Dawson and Associate Professor Julie Roberts, for completing this part of our journey with me.

I am looking forward to hearing about the outcome of our re-bid in two to three weeks, which will hopefully set us on a new, exciting journey for the next eight years.

Regards,

Mingan
