A: Chook Chat Hack 2021

  1. By entering the competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. The Promoter is University of New England (trading as Poultry Hub Australia) ABN 75 792 454 315 of Armidale NSW 2350.
  3. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged, based upon the potential for the entry to inform industry practice, ingenuity and creative merit. All entries must be an independent creation by the entering team and free of any claims that they infringe any third-party rights.
  4. Employees of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion (Poultry Hub Australia, AgriFutures Chicken Meat and Australian Eggs) are ineligible to enter the competition, as are their immediate families.
  5. To enter, entrants must be aged 18 years or over and be an enrolled student at an Australian University (includes on-line and on-campus students, full-time and part-time students, domestic and international students). Entrants must have properly completed the chook chat hack registration form. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.
  6. Entry is via a team. Teams may be made up of a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 persons. Each individual must submit a registration form that includes the team name.
  7. Registered teams must submit a video entry via the competition web page by 11.59 pm Sunday 28 March 2021 in order to be considered for a prize. The video must be hosted on YouTube and the URL submitted on the entry submission form. The entrant must ensure that the video is marked as either PUBLIC or UNLISTED for the entry to be valid. Registered teams may submit one (1) video only. The video must be 3 minutes or less in length. Judges will not watch videos that exceed this time limit.
  8. Only one team member needs to submit the video. The team member that submits the video will be taken to be the Team Leader. In the event that team is awarded a prize, the prize shall be delivered to the Team Leader.
  9. The Team Leader is solely responsible and accountable for distributing any prize/s as per agreement with the Team. Poultry Hub is in no way liable for any failures of the Team Leader to distribute in accordance with the team wishes.
  10. By submitting an entry, entrants warrant that the entry is the original, unpublished work of the entrant nominated in the entry submission form.
  11. The Promoter will disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the Promoter, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to animal cruelty, profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language, plagiarism and hate speech or infringes copyright. The Promoter’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter, Poultry Hub Australia. The Promoter reserves the right to publish the submitted video and/or photographs at any time, on any media, now and in perpetuity with or without accreditation.
  13. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the competition as necessary for any reason. If the competition is withdrawn, the Promoter relinquishes any rights it may have in relation to an entry submitted prior to the withdrawal.
  14. PRIZES: First prize is $3000 AUD. Second prize is a Super Large Deluxe Chicken Coop from My Chicken Coop plus drinker and feeder valued at over $500AUD which will be posted to the Australian address nominated by the second-place team leader and is not redeemable for cash. International postage is not possible.
  15. All cash prizes will be delivered to the Australian bank account nominated by the registered Team Leader. In no circumstances shall the Promoter be responsible for dividing prize money or for the failure of the Team Leader to do so.
  16. All prizes are non-transferable and non-redeemable. Prizes cannot be exchanged for another.
  17. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage, or expenses whatsoever which is suffered or incurred (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, in connection with this competition, except for any liability which cannot be excluded under any applicable law.
  18. Promotion commences Wednesday 24 March 2021. Entries close 11.59 pm Sunday 28 March 2021.
  19. The contact information entrants are asked to provide to the Promoter is personal information and is protected by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cwlth) and the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) (Privacy Laws). The Promoter will not disclose this information to other parties other than in accordance with the Privacy Laws.
  20. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter may use and publish the entrant’s names and video submission for any purpose, including commercial, future promotional marketing and publicity purposes.
  21. Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize.
  22. Entries will be judged by Monday 29th March 2021 and the winner’s name/s will be published on the Poultry Hub Australia website on Tuesday 30th March 2021.
  23. The winner will be notified in writing by email on Tuesday 30th March 2021.
  24. If the Promoter is unable to contact the winner within 48 hours of completion of the judging process and the Promoter has made reasonable efforts to contact them using the information provided by the entrant then the Promoter may award the prize to another valid entrant.
  25. All entrants consent to having their email address added to the Poultry Hub e-news subscription list.

 

B: Chook Chat Photo Comp 2021

  1. By entering the competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Entrants must have followed Poultry Hub on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.
  6. Entrants must post a photograph to either Instagram or Facebook that references chickens and or eggs by 11.59 pm Sunday 28 March 2021. The post must tag @Poultry_Hub. An entrant can enter a maximum of [insert number] photographs.
  7. By submitting an entry, entrants warrant that the entry is their own original, unpublished work.
  8.
