Barnhealth – A New Web-based Resource

Barnhealth are pleased to announce the launch of their new website that has been designed to assist farmers in identifying and eliminating performance barriers, preventing mortalities, and helping sustain or improve production yields.

Barnhealth´s flagship solution, DTECT™- laying hens, is a revolutionary web-based tool that helps in learning how to identify issues that affect flock performance in just a few steps. This technology was developed in a collaborative project with the Australian Egg Corporation, international veterinarians, scientists, and nutritionists. It has been further developed with the assistance of egg-producers through case studies and user-feedback. Its current disorder and disease database has been built only using peer-reviewed data.

Features and benefits of the DTECT™ system:

  • Responsive platform, viewable on all mobile devices
  • Fast and user friendly
  • Clear and clean user interface
  • Utilizes a small bandwidth, making it more accessible to those with slower internet connection
  • It is available 24/7 using any computer with internet access
  • Does not require log in details, providing users with privacy and anonymity

Users will be able to view and download a manual available on the site to help them make necessary observations and measurements to use the identification system effectively. They will also find a Library with the details of over 160 disorders and useful information on the impact they could have on their business.

Additionally to the website (www.barnhealth.com) there will be sharing of information on current “hot topics” related to flock disorders, nutrition and management on Barnhealth’s Twitter @Barnhealth and Facebook accounts.
