Poultry Hub Australia, in conjunction with AgriFutures Chicken Meat Program and Australian Eggs are holding two Media and Communications Training Masterclasses.
The Masterclasses will be facilitated by Science in Public over two half days with a maximum of six researchers within each masterclass.
The Media and Communication Training Masterclasses will help you find the story in your research and learn how to achieve media coverage that is true to your science AND engages your audience.
Working journalists from television, print and radio will join the masterclass over the course of the workshop to explain what makes news for them.
The course covers;
• television (with practice interviews)
• radio (with practice interviews)
• handling tricky questions and staying out of trouble
• print and online media
• developing your communication plan
• social media and becoming an ‘expert’.
The masterclasses will run on the 12th and 13th of October from 9am – 1pm and the 20th and 21st of October from 9am – 1pm.
Places are limited. To be eligible you must reside in Australia and be currently employed/researching a poultry related project/position.
Applications close 5th October 2020 and will be judged by the Chook Chat Shack committee. All applicants will be notified of their outcome by the 9th October.
