Poultry Research and Training Facilities at UNE

The University of New England (UNE) is home to one of Australia’s most comprehensive poultry research and training networks, with more than 60 years of experience supporting the poultry industry through research, education and innovation. UNE’s facilities and expertise span poultry nutrition, health, welfare, behaviour, disease management, feed technology, meat and egg quality, and advanced data analytics.

Through world-class research infrastructure located across the Armidale campus, Kirby Smart Farm and Laureldale Research Farm, UNE collaborates closely with industry partners to deliver practical, evidence-based solutions for the Australian poultry sector. The University’s research capabilities are supported by specialised laboratories, commercial-scale poultry facilities, a dedicated feed mill, and expert researchers working across a broad range of poultry disciplines.
